David Webb and the Rocky Top General Market have been proud original sponsors of the Polk Salad Festival for years. The Festival continued in 2014 with the Arts Council of Roane County as host.

The emphasis is on the arts, crafts, and foods of our region. Art touches us all, and this Festival encourages feelings of creativity and self-worth for everyone attending. All are encouraged to express their creative talents through music, dance, drama, and visual arts. The signature artistic event of this years Festival will be the 'Poke Mosaic' where attendees are encouraged to add to the paper mosaic as a community art event.

The range of Festival events include gazebo performances, kid activity tables, and craft demonstrations for unique experiences of our local performing, written, and visual arts. Demonstrations may be given by weavers, potters, jewelers, wood workers, and many more artisans. The Festival is a dynamic, collaborative, and multi-sensory experience for artists and audiences alike.
