Memphis in May International Festival officials have announced that the 2016 Beale Street Music Festival will take place Friday, April 29, Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Tom Lee Park in Downtown Memphis, Tenn.

In previous years, Beale Street Music Festival attendees have seen legends like Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Al Green and John Fogerty share a stage with current acts like Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes and Ed Sheeran. They can take in local favorites like Lucero and North Mississippi Allstars as well as featured groups from the 2016 honored country of Canada. Bringing in music lovers from 50 states and 14 foreign countries in 2015, its easy to see that sunny skies and the mighty Mississippi make for a perfect backdrop and a geographically accessible festival experience.

The 2016 Beale Street Music Festival lineup will be released in February 2016.
