Fall Folklore Jamboree
October 21, 2017,
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

There's one fun-filled Saturday in Milan jam-packed with music, crafts, food and more. Join us at the UT AgResearch and Edcuation Center and West Tennessee Agricultural Museum on October 21, and you're sure to have a great time.

The Fall Folklore Jamboree features more than 130 friendly folk artists demonstrating traditional farming, cooking and home life skills. You can see a blacksmith in action, watch mules plow a field, and shop for unique items like homemade soaps, candles and brooms. Plus, a long lineup of award winning gospel and bluegrass bands will be making music all day on an outdoor stage.

There are lots of activities for children at Fall Folklore. Kids will enjoy riding in a horse-drawn wagon, picking and ginning their own cotton, and taking a tractor ride around the Research Center grounds.

If you get hungry, there's no need to worry about a limited menu here. Options include grilled tenderloin, barbeque, hamburgers, hotdogs and nachos. You can also sample fresh apple cider and old-fashioned kettle corn made right on the grounds

nce you've hit all the outdoor attractions, come inside the West Tennessee Agricultural Museum and tour one of the largest collections of agricultural artifacts in the country. With more than 15,000 items on display, the museum tells the story of rural life in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Fall Folklore Jamboree starts on October 21, at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 3-12. Parking is free. Park at Milan High School or the Little League Park, and buses will escort you to the admission booth.
