Celebrate Earth Day on the Plateau with the Friends of South Cumberland ?

The Trails & Trilliums festival attracts hundreds of hikers, wildflower enthusiasts and families who come to the Cumberland Plateau during peak wildflower season. This 3-day festival raises funds to support the initiatives of the Friends of South Cumberland (FSC), working in support of South Cumberland State Park. The Dubose Conference Center in Monteagle, Tennessee, provides an ideal location.

Start the weekend off at the Wild Azalea Gala on Friday night, with cocktails, a gourmet dinner, and after-dinner dance music by the top-rated Nashville dance band, "Entice". Reserve your seats at the Gala now at ********.***.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, guided hikes will be offered on 28 of the South Cumberland's most scenic trails, and a great slate of 20 workshops and presentations will help you appreciate the wonders of nature. The Trails & Trilliums Keynote speaker, Ranger Bob Fulcher, is recognized as one of the nation's top folklorists. Pre-registration is strongly recommended to reserve your place in the activities of your choice.

Saturday's Family Fun outdoor activities for children include a wildlife program with snakes, turtles and birds of prey, fort building, hayrides, pioneer activities and fairy houses. Don't miss the first Family Campout on Saturday night! Overhill Gardens will be offering a top-notch array of native plants, along with other unique and interesting vendors. There's also live music on stage, festival food, and something for everyone!
